I set the direction and stay hands-on

I do my best work on products that have grown complicated, with many services, many owners and years of history. I find the problem underneath, get product, engineering and the business behind one direction, and make it real enough to test, often in code. I went from product designer to design director in under four years, and wrote the design organization’s AI prototyping playbook for client work.
